Candyland has been thrown into chaos!
King Kandy has grown sour as he desperately clings to power. The Candyland citizens used to be free to enjoy whatever was right for them. Now lemon drop-troops and sour gummy soldiers occupy every corner of the kingdom from licorice lagoon to the gumdrop mountains, forcing their sourness upon everyone. Rumors are swirling that King Kandy is working on a super weapon that will coat Candyland in sourness forever: Atomic Cherry Warheads. The people have had enough! They’ve called in the most ruthless, sugarthirsty, ferocious candy rebels to end this nightmare: you!
Your mission: stop King Kandy at all costs.
Play as one of 6 premade Candyland rebels who get their powers from chomping on their Extreme Sour enemies.
- Twirly: A gingerbread who has a beast’s soul entwined with their own
- Jig: A charming and deadly gingerbread Necco-mancer
- Cutie Cone: Glamorous and chill ice cream cone with frosty magic
- Mallo: A marshmallow with a monstrous side
- Giggly: A sweet little gumdrop with a burning need to protect others
- Nana Nutt: Broke out of retirement to blow up Extreme Sours like in the old days. A little nuts.
For a more immersive and delicious experience, the enemy minis are actual sour candies that you the player can eat after you’ve defeated them! Let me know if there are dietary concerns so I can adjust the candy selection (or use normal standees) as needed.
This game can be done in a long 0ne-shot, but a short (2-4 session) campaign is better for groups that want to explore and roleplay more. I can add more locations too, if players aren’t ready for the story to end!
